June 2023

Special Events / Important Dates

- Kona Ice will be serving snow cones to the children Friday, June 2nd at 10:00. Please have your child here by then.

- The center will be closed Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th for the Fourth of July.

- We are updating our website and are asking parents/guardians to write or type out a testimonial of the center for the new website. Please email to sthenryclc@sthenryclc.com or turn in a hard copy (handwritten or typed) by Friday, June 23rd!!! Thank you!!!

IMPORTANT NOTES

- Every child needs to have some extra clothes in their locker in case of accidents! If you have borrowed clothes from the center, please make sure to return them! Thank you!

- If you know your child gets sunburn easily and would like sunscreen to be put on them you must send your brand of choice to school with their name written on it and it will remain it their lockers. Same would apply for bug spray.

- We plan on doing water play days this summer- mainly sprinklers and water toys. The dates will be dependent on the weather. You can bring in swim clothes and/or a pair of extra clothes that you don’t mind the kids getting wet, and we can keep them in their locker until water play days.

- Please let Ms. Judy or Ms. Nicole know if your child will use vacation days! This allows us to get a more accurate lunch count.

- Please make sure to dress for the weather! Close-toed shoes are required in order to play on the playground!

- Any donations to the classroom (Kleenex boxes, baby wipes, etc.) would be greatly appreciated!

WHERE DID MAY GO?!

Time flies when you are having fun, so each classroom wanted to share a highlight of May!

  • Cookie Monsters
  • “This month, we celebrated our magical moms by making crafts for Mother’s Day. We talked about our favorite zoo animals and are looking forward to an exciting summer!”
  • Counts
  • “May was all about moms and did we go all out! We stenciled tote bags that said, ‘Love you to the moon.’ We made decoupaged mini gumball machines full of Skittles and bones. Then it was off to the zoo. We made monkeys, lions, jellyfish, and flamingos and played zoo bingo. For a snack, we made ‘tiger tails’- pretzels dipped in orange melts and striped with chocolate. We put the wacky in wacky week: socks, hats, hair. We enjoyed bringing our lunch. On to summer fun."
  • Sunshines
  • “We finished up the school year strong by reviewing letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. This month, we celebrated moms and had fun dressing up for wacky week. We also said goodbye to some of our friends and said hello to some new friends.”
