November 2021 Newsletter

 

November Birthdays

* Theo- November 22 (Cookie Monsters)

Birthday Party Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 16th. The children will celebrate with special activities in their classroom and have birthday cake for afternoon snack.

 

Special Events / Important Dates

-      Friday, November 5th is Black/Brown Day! Have your child wear something black and/or brown!

-       We will be selling St. Louis Cardinals calendars ($16.00 each) through Thursday, November 11th. Order forms should be turned in by or before November 11th.

-     The center will be closed Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th for Thanksgiving!!!

-      We are also collecting canned goods for Catholic Urban Programs, whose mission is to serve people in need throughout the Diocese with a concentration on East St. Louis and surrounding communities. Donations run through November 1st to November 24th.

-      The center will also be closed December 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 31st since the holidays fall on weekends! Families can deduct one day per week for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

IMPORTANT NOTES!

-         As the cold weather approaches, it’s time to unpack the winter clothes and shoes. Please make sure to dress for the weather!

-         Any donations to the classroom (Kleenex boxes, baby wipes, etc.) would be greatly appreciated!

 

 

 

WHERE DID OCTOBER GO?!

Time flies when you are having fun, so each classroom wanted to share a highlight of October!

v Cookie Monsters

o   “The Cookie Monsters had a busy October! We talked all month about Halloween. We read lots of books and decorated our classroom with pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, and colored Halloween pictures.”

v Counts

o   “October has flown by. We spent most of the time preparing for Halloween. Spiders, Frankenstein monsters, and monster cookies! Oh my! We ended the month with a haunted trail, made puppy pumpkins, and had a monster mash party!”

“This month, we learned about fire prevention and fire safety. Some firefighters from the Belleville Fire Department came out to talk to us about fire safety and to show us the ins and outs of a fire truck. We even took turns sitting in the driver’s
